This item is also available on Ravelry. If you choose to purchase here instead of Ravelry, you will also receive .xslx (Excel) colorwork charts for easier customization and readability.

This sweater is knit top down in a raglan construction. It is designed to fit with 6-12” of positive ease. The pattern comes with colorwork charts that were designed for different sizes, so all 9 sizes have the full tiger face covering the entire front of the sweater.

The colorwork technique used in this pattern is a combination of stranded knitting and intarsia used with a “color by number” style chart. You should have some experience with stranded colorwork, but no experience with intarsia is necessary. If you are hesitant about the pattern because of the techniques, feel free to watch the video tutorial before purchasing:

The Tiger Sweater was designed in the spirit of growth and change. Not just in knitting but all areas of life. Join me in celebrating the fact that no matter who you are, we all have the ability to learn, improve, and overcome - and it’s a beautiful thing.

Yarn Substitutions
The yarn used is a fingering weight 75% SW Merino / 25% Nylon 4-ply base. It is a popular type of base that has limited shedding, pilling, and tangling. Because this pattern is a unique combination of stranded and intarsia colorwork involving many strands, stay away from single ply and non elastic yarn substitutions.
